Autumn Dancing in the breeze

“I can smell Autumn dancing in the breeze.  The sweet chill of pumpkin and crisp sunburnt leaves.”  Anonymous

Emily’s Bites of Fun:

Here’s a paragraph taken from, “The Book of Paper Quilling” by Malinda Johnston:

  • “In the Colonial Williamsburg collection, in Williamsburg, Virginia, there are two cribbage boards, made sometime between 1790-1810, a late eighteeth century tea caddy, and an English three-dimensional picture of a castle. A document discovered inside the castle states: “To the person who destroys this paper-fillagree castle built at Notthingham.  This castle built in the year of our Lord 1789 by Susanna the wife of Will III Streetton during the imprisonment of the Royal Family of France in the Thuilleries, and in the memorable year in which the Bastile was destroyed.”

A Note From Emily:

School started today!  Me, like many of you are entering into a whole new part of life with little ones just starting school.  Some of you are even watching the grand kids start school this year.  Wherever you are at, it’s a good place to be.

I am so ready for the fall to come.  I am ready for long pants and sweaters, fall colors and hot drinks.  Halloween, Thanksgiving and all the decorations that join us this season are some of my favorites.  As I get ready for a very crazy fall with classes, fairs and special orders, I am looking forward to it.

I have many classes starting up and my newsletter will be going out this month.  If you have not signed up for my newsletter, please email me and I will put you on the list to receive that email that comes quarterly.
